Here is the information about JoShawn’s Power Project if you would like to make a donation.

What is JoShawn’s Power Project?

JoShawn’s Power Project is a project to raise money to purchase a handicap accessible van for my nephew JoShawn Thomas.  Many of you know his story, however what many people don’t know is that JoShawn’s mother, Shatoree doesn’t have the correct transportation for JoShawn.  She has a SUV, which is paid for but is not ideal for a wheel chair bound child.    She has to lift JoShawn in and out of the car on a daily basis, he is over 84 lbs and it is a one person job

Why should I help?  I don’t know you, is this for real this could be a scam!

Unfortunately for the people who know and love JoShawn this is very real,  and is not a scam.  Shatoree truly needs help to purchase a van so it will be easier to transport JoShawn to therapy, doctor’s appointment, school and other appointments.  ALL PROCEEDS are going to the van, we are really on a mission and need your help to make this possible.

Do you want large donations only?

Not at all, it would be awesome to receive a huge donation however we appreciate anything everyone can give.  You can donate from $5.00 up to whatever you would like to donate.  We appreciate all of you!

Why don’t you find a automobile dealership to donate a vehicle?

We actually called auto dealerships to ask how a van can be donated and we were told they don’t “give” vans away and of course, they are overwhelmed by requests from so many people.

How can I help and how do I make a donation?

Please tell as many people as possible, please share the donation information with your family and friends!

There are several ways to donate  and ALL MONIES raised are going to JoShawn Thomas.

JoShawn smiled for the first time in 8 months! God is so good and it was wonderful to see his smile again!!!!!!  This is just the beginning, God is performing a miracle before our eyes!  Let’s Praise God for His goodness!!!

Praise Report! JoShawn has moved from PICU to the transition unit! January 28, 2010

God is good, JoShawn has moved from PICU and is currently in the transition unit.  He will begin rehab next week.  All glory be to God as He continues to heal and restore JoShawn’s body!   Here is a picture of JoShawn with his eyes open, isn’t God good?

PRAISE REPORT!!!

Today is JoShawn’s birthday and he opened his eyes today! It has been ten weeks since the accident (10 is God’s number of completion) and this is JoShawn’s 5th birthday (5 is God’s number for grace)! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!

JoShawn’s Birthday is Jan 10th!  He is such a gift from God, please send up Birthday prayers for him.  God is doing just an amazing healing in his body and we praise him for JoShawn everyday.  Continue to keep his family in your prayers, especially his mother, that the Lord will continue to strengthen her through his healing.

Progressing Everyday! December 18, 2009

JoShawn’s sister was able to visit him for the first time in six weeks on Monday, you should have seen the smile on his face, yes he does smile (Praise God!). It was beautiful! God is so good and he is progressing everyday.  Thank you for your continued prayers, support and we can’t wait until you meet him!
